Gosh!
However, I spent it on the phone with Verizon trying to figure out how to pay a bill online. In order to do so, I needed an account number. I didn't have an account number because they only show up on bills and we've always payed our bills directly from our credit card.
"Hi, I'm just calling because I'm trying to get my account number so I can pay a bill."
"I can't give you your account number because of security precautions unless you can prove who you are."
"Well, what information can I give you to prove that I'm legitimate so you can give me my account number so I can take care of my bill?"
"Your account number."
At this point, I heroically refrained from screaming "Do you even have a soul?!?!?"
That was pretty irritating. What was more irritating was finally locating a bill, logging on and finding out that unbeknownst to us, we'd been billed $30 a month for the past ten months for services we never requested.
After spending today on hold, I reached a so called customer service rep who informed me that I'd been informed of these charges via messages to a Verizon email account I never knew existed.
So we're currently beginning a battle with Verizon over $300 worth of fees we never knew about.
Just sayin'...In the event that you're looking for a new ISP or are already a Verizon patron...check your bill.
