How to Eat a Bear

On the off chance you were planning something a little different for the holidays...

I don't know that I could eat a bear. Or shoot a coyote for that matter. The one reminds me of something I snuggled with as a child and the other reminds me all too much of many, many family pets that have bounded about the living rooms of my life.

That said, it's interesting to learn that the biggest vector for trichinosis is in fact bear. I would have assumed that bear meat simply wasn't eaten enough to top the charts. Not surprisingly, another big vector is wild boar. But walrus?

Well...If you happen to be preparing walrus this holiday season, please make sure to cook the hell out of it.
