Sadly, not a typo.
I've spoken about the very real problems of asset forfeiture before. To wit: Police can seize and sell your property for profit whether or not you are ever charged with a crime. In order to do this, you have to prove that your property was in fact innocent of any wrongdoing (the standard is that your stuff is "guilty until proven innocent")
It can lead to trials with wonderful names like "Indiana vs. One 2006 Toyota Camry".
Anyways, this takes it just a bit too far...
