Let's talk about the profound differences between Conservatives in America versus those in Britain.

Can you imagine an American Conservative politician doing something as basic as supporting civil liberties for everyone they're expected to serve? Can you expect an American Conservative politician accepting that people have different sexual orientations and that those orientations, are simply none of their fucking business? Can you name a single, A SINGLE American Conservative politician that has said ANYTHING about the rash of suicides amongst young, gay Americans?

You have no idea how desperately I want you to say "Sure, there's Congressman X". But I don't think you can. I really wish you could. But sadly, on this issue, the Conservative wing of politics, is the wing of hate.
