I own a cat and I'm pretty happy with him.
For the most part, he leaves me be. Honestly the only awkward moments we have in our living situation is when I walk in on him using the litter box. There is always an incredibly awkward moment when we look into each others eyes and feel so terribly, terribly ashamed.
That said, let's hear it for the dogs! If for nothing else, their endless reserves of patience for human bullshit.
