The Drunk Planet

The Economist provides the following helpful map showing alcohol consumption over the world.

They report that alcohol is apparently responsible for more deaths a year than AIDS or tuberculosis. That's a bummer. But I choose to look on the brighter side of things and rather than mourn the death of people due to preventable causes, I'll celebrate the fact that people are dying under far more pleasant conditions than...you know...consumption.
