So What's Going On at CPAC Anyways?

Meh...A few rays of light. The Libertarian contingent is certainly making it's presence known. Mostly, it's neanderthals hell bent on restoring us to the virtues of a prior century.



Naturally, the hot topic is that..OH MY GOD THERE ARE GAY CONSERVATIVES....and some people chose to boycott the convention rather than rub shoulders with homosexuals.

Sigh.

Lovely to see Conservatives abandon the principle of small government the second those principles would keep government out of truly private acts.

That said, I have to give a shout-out to the guy at the 1:20 mark. He's someone that I would assume I would disagree with pretty much completely. However, he's at least consistent. He views homosexuality as immoral but doesn't consider it to be a political issue. By that, I assume he's saying "it's really nobody's business, certainly not government". I might be giving him more of a benefit of the doubt than he deserves... but hey, who knows? Anyways, it's always nice to see an advocate of smaller government recognize and embrace the extent of his or her philosophy.
