Your Daily North Korean Headline

Now that someone in North Korea has finally noticed that there was an earthquake in Japan, they've looked into the matter and discovered that there have been other earthquakes. In other places! More than once!

As such, they quickly dispatched a letter to the Chief of the Weather Office of South Korea to propose cooperating against this unforeseen scourge:

DPRK Proposes S. Side to Conduct Joint Research into Volcanic Activities

I don't understand what role the weather office has to do with earthquakes or volcanoes. Perhaps they saw a forecast calling for "light rain in the morning with a 40% chance of eruption"?

Specifically, they urge the South to join the North in researching the volcanic activity on Mt. Paektu.

In the meantime, Mt. Paektu is a lovely vacation destination:

Lake Chon on Mt. Paektu

Go visit! As noted, "Its water is very clean and clean."
